Australia’s 2025 National Packaging Targets
Back in 2018, Australia set the bar high with the 2025 National Packaging Targets. These ambitious goals are designed to transform how packaging is managed across the country.
By 2025, Australia aims to achieve:
- 100% of packaging being reusable, recyclable, or compostable.
- 70% of plastic packaging being recycled or composted.
- 50% average recycled content in packaging.
The complete phase-out of problematic and unnecessary single-use plastic packaging.
